Business HQ — Refund & Cancellation Policy
1. Subscription basics
Business HQ is a pay-first, monthly subscription. Charges are due on the 1st of each month and collected via Razorpay (UPI Autopay / card mandate). Access requires an active subscription; on non-payment, a grace period of about 7 days applies, after which the account is locked until payment is made.
2. How to cancel
2.1 You can cancel your subscription by emailing admin@uplyft.in (or via any in-product cancellation option, if available). Please include your account/business name.
2.2 To avoid the next cycle's charge, cancel before the 1st of the upcoming month. We recommend cancelling at least 2 business days before the billing date to allow processing.
2.3 On cancellation, your subscription will not renew for the following cycle.
3. Effect of cancellation on access
3.1 Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid month. You retain access until then; the Service is not pro-rated or shut off mid-cycle simply because you cancelled.
3.2 After the current paid period ends, access is discontinued and your account moves to a cancelled state (see Section 6 on data).
4. Refund policy
4.1 No automatic refunds for the current period. Because Business HQ is billed pay-first for a monthly cycle and access is provided for that period, subscription fees for the current month are non-refundable and are not pro-rated for early cancellation or non-use.
4.2 No refunds for prior months already used.
4.3 Discretionary refunds for genuine issues. We may, at our sole discretion, issue a full or partial refund or service credit in genuine cases — for example, a duplicate/erroneous charge, a billing error, or a significant Service failure clearly attributable to Uplyft that we could not resolve. Such requests should be raised within 7 days of the charge by emailing admin@uplyft.in with details.
4.4 No refund is due for: change of mind, non-use, account lock/suspension due to non-payment, termination for breach of the Terms, or issues caused by third-party services (e.g., your bank, Razorpay, or an AI provider used with your own API key).
4.5 AI usage on your own key. Where you use your own AI provider key (e.g., Anthropic), that usage is billed by the provider to you and is outside Uplyft's control and not refundable by Uplyft.
4.6 Approved refunds are made to the original payment method via Razorpay and may take several business days to reflect.
5. Razorpay mandate / auto-pay cancellation
5.1 Cancelling your subscription with us also means the recurring mandate should stop. To be sure future auto-debits do not occur, you may also cancel the UPI Autopay / card mandate from your bank or UPI app, or ask us to help disable it.
5.2 If an auto-debit occurs after a valid, timely cancellation due to a mandate not being stopped in time, contact us and we will help resolve or refund the erroneous charge under Section 4.3.
6. What happens to your data after cancellation
6.1 Export window. After your paid period ends, we provide a data export window of 30 days during which you can request an export of your Client Data in a common machine-readable format. (You can also export while your account is active.)
6.2 Deletion. After the export window closes, your Client Data is scheduled for deletion from active systems. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period before being overwritten, and we may retain limited records (e.g., invoices) where required by law. See the Privacy Policy for details.
6.3 Locked (unpaid) accounts. During a non-payment lock, data is retained to allow you to reactivate by paying. If the account remains unpaid/inactive for a prolonged period (e.g., 60 days), we may treat it as cancelled and apply the export-then-deletion process above, with notice where practicable.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be notified by a reasonable means. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.
